FAQ

After I retain your PI services what can I expect?

What is considered a “Rush” PI service?

When will you start working my PI case?

How do I know my information is safe?

A: Each case is different, and completion times may vary greatly from a few weeks to a few months. We will provide you with a full written report, date and time stamped photos, and all case files, upon completion of the case, or the depletion of the initial retainer paid, whichever comes first.

Emergency or “Rush” services are defined as cases where we are required to begin working your case within 24 hours of receiving your paid retainer, and signed contract. These cases are billed at a higher hourly rate. The same “Rush” rate will be charged for cases worked on holidays.

Once the signed contract is returned and the retainer is paid, we begin a “Work Up” on the case details to verify certain information. Once that is completed your case will be assigned to an agent.
This time can vary from case to case, but is normally completed within a few days.

The key word in what we do as Private Investigators is “Private,“ and we keep all case information confidential. We operate just as your attorney would under “Client Privilege.” We will NEVER share any information about you or your PI case with anyone, unless instructed to do so by you.

TOP FIVE REASONS TO HIRE A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR

Hiring a Private Investigator (PI) can be a smart move when you need professional, discreet, and legally sound help gathering information that you can’t legally obtain on your own. Here are the top five reasons people or businesses hire private investigators:

1. Infidelity or Relationship Concerns

If you suspect a spouse or partner is being unfaithful, a PI can discreetly gather evidence through surveillance, background checks, and digital forensics.

  • Why it matters: Emotional bias often clouds judgment — a PI provides objective proof (photos, videos, timelines) that can help you make informed decisions or support divorce proceedings.

2. Child Custody Disputes

If you have gone through a divorce and your ex-spouse is not adhering to the court orders regarding overnight guests, who can be around the child, or other reasons that may be detrimental to the child, a PI can gather evidence that will help you with getting full custody, or getting changes made to visitation schedules.

3. Background Checks and Due Diligence

Private investigators conduct deep background checks for personal, business, or legal purposes.

  • Examples: Vetting a potential business partner, nanny, tenant, or online date.

  • Why it matters: PIs have access to databases and techniques beyond what’s available through a simple online search, helping you avoid fraud or bad deals.

4. Locating Missing Persons or Assets

PIs are skilled at locating people who’ve gone missing intentionally or accidentally, as well as hidden property or assets.

  • Common uses: Finding estranged family members, debtors, heirs, witnesses, or people avoiding legal obligations.

  • Why it matters: They use databases, interviews, and surveillance to find leads law enforcement may not prioritize.

5. Legal and Insurance Investigations

Attorneys and insurance companies often hire PIs to support civil or criminal cases.

  • Tasks include: Gathering witness statements, serving subpoenas, verifying injury claims, or uncovering fraud.

  • Why it matters: Professionally collected evidence can hold up in court — and can make or break a case.
